## Designing inclusive surveys: The impact of asking race and ethnicity questions in different ways

InsightsNow recently collaborated with the Insights Association IDEA Council on groundbreaking research on how to ask demographic questions on race and ethnicity in a more inclusive and sensitive way.  InsightsNow's contribution was applying our unique Implicit/Explicit Test methodology to the panelists' assessments of the various question formats.

In this presentation we will share:

- How InsightsNow's methods were used in the study
- Recommendations on industry standards for inclusive question formats that survey participants feel accurately reflect their identity
- How and when to use these questions in sample design
